Watch: Guilin Rice Noodles with Grandma Mo (Vlog)

At one point, I went for a stint of coverage in Yangshuo.

Yangshuo is a picturesque town of mountainous limestone karsts. The towering terrain extends for miles around, and despite skyrocketing popularity with travelers, the community still holds on to a simple way of life.

As for food, two dishes stand out: beer fish, and Guilin rice noodles.

These local specialties seem to be offered on every street corner (I published a detailed account of the situation for RADII, linked below).

But for now, I want to direct your attention to the amazing Grandma Mo.

After our motorbike broke down on a mountain road, we ended up at a hole-in-the-wall eatery. That eatery was run by Grandma Mo, who gave me a detailed, firsthand look into Guilin rice noodles, the most famous food in town.

Check out the video, and if you want the recipe to make Guilin rice noodles like Grandma Mo, let me know on Instagram at @earthshifting!
